Quick pay

Quick pay is a broker's offer to pay an invoice within a few days rather than on standard terms, in exchange for a percentage discount off the rate.

Quick pay is factoring offered by the broker itself. The discount is typically a small percentage of the invoice for payment in a few days instead of thirty.

It is worth comparing against factoring and against simply waiting. If the load's margin is thin, a few percent off the top is a large share of what you were going to keep.

The decision is only calculable when you know the margin on the specific load rather than the average across the month.
