Trucking expense tracking that puts every cost on the right truck
A cost that isn't on a truck can't tell you anything. Fleetchart keeps every expense with its receipt, on the truck or load it belongs to, so your cost per mile and profit per truck stay real.
No card · every feature on every plan
What it does
Every kind of cost
Fuel, repairs, tires, tolls, insurance, permits, lumpers and more: 26 categories, plus your own.
Receipts attached
Snap the receipt and it stays with the expense, so nothing lives in the glove box.
On the right truck or load
Put each cost on its truck or load. If you forget, Fleetchart asks before saving, because that is how profit per truck stays true.
Fuel card import
Upload your EFS or Comdata statement and every swipe becomes a fuel expense on its truck. Fill-ups that look like duplicates are set aside for you to check.
Costs for the whole fleet
Insurance and office costs that belong to no one truck are shown on their own line, not split up into a number nobody can act on.
Ready for your accountant
Export your expenses as a QuickBooks file, sorted the way a tax return is built.
How it works
Step 1
Add the cost
Snap the receipt and enter the amount, or import your fuel card statement.
Step 2
Put it on a truck
Pick the truck or load it belongs to. Fleet-wide costs stay on their own line.
Step 3
Watch your numbers update
Your cost per mile and each truck's profit change as soon as the cost is in.
Questions
- Do I have to type in every fuel receipt?
- No. Import your EFS or Comdata statement and every fill-up comes in with its gallons, state and dollars. Other fuel cards: add fuel by hand.
- What about costs that aren't for one truck, like insurance?
- They go on their own line as fleet costs. They count in your total and your all-in cost per mile, but they aren't split across trucks.
- Can my accountant use it?
- Yes. Your expenses export as a QuickBooks file, already sorted into categories.
- Is this accounting software?
- No. Fleetchart tracks your money load by load and truck by truck, and gives your accountant clean records. It doesn't replace bookkeeping software or a tax preparer.
