IFTA software for owner-operators and small fleets

Every quarter your IFTA return comes down to two numbers for each state: miles driven and fuel bought. Fleetchart keeps both as you go, so the end of the quarter is a quick check instead of a shoebox of receipts.

No card · every feature on every plan

What it does

  • Miles by state

Connect your Motive ELD and the miles by state come in on their own. On another ELD, type the miles off your trip sheets.

  • Fuel by state

Import your EFS or Comdata statement and every fill-up lands with its gallons and the state it was bought in. Other cards: add fuel by hand.

  • Only diesel counts

DEF and reefer fuel are kept as costs but left out of your IFTA fuel totals, the way the return needs them.

  • Red flags before you file

Anything that looks wrong gets flagged, like fuel bought in a state you have no miles in.

  • Ready for your preparer

Send the quarter's worksheet to the person who files for you in one tap, or download it as a spreadsheet file.

  • A heads-up when the quarter closes

One email when the quarter ends, with the filing deadline right there.

Fleetchart does not file your IFTA return. It builds the worksheet your preparer files from.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Get your miles in

Connect Motive once, or type each trip's miles by state from your trip sheets.

  2. Step 2

    Import your fuel

Upload your EFS or Comdata statement as it comes. Every gallon lands on the right truck and state.

  3. Step 3

    Check and send

At the end of the quarter, look over anything flagged, then send the worksheet to your preparer.

Questions

Does Fleetchart file my IFTA return?
No. Fleetchart builds the worksheet: miles and fuel by state for the quarter, with anything odd flagged. Your preparer, or you, files the return.
Do I need a Motive ELD?
No. Motive fills in the miles by state for you. On any other ELD, or none, you type the miles off your trip sheets and the worksheet works the same way.
Which fuel cards does it read?
EFS and Comdata statements import directly, with gallons and state on every fill-up. For other cards, you add fuel by hand.
Does DEF count toward IFTA?
No. Only the diesel your truck burns counts. Fleetchart keeps DEF and reefer fuel as costs, so they still count against profit, but leaves them out of the IFTA fuel totals.
